What better way is there to celebrate probably the most insane week of our lives than by a skate around the Garden City doing the thing we love the most?

I have heaps of GCS stickers that need to be stuck in a few subtle places and I thought some of you might like to join me?

No real plan as such; decide upon start place, skate, stick, see which roads are skateable, stop for a cheeky ice-cream?, try out early grabs, skate some more.

As before I am going skating not matter what, rain or shine on my own or with you guys as I just need to skate.

Meet up at Vintage drive first it's all good average sized (can do 60kph with a few kicks from the top if you want to bomb) and it's got a chill as side as well so it's sweet for beginners and everyone else.

Starting on Sept 15th, will be the Great Gear Grab. What is it you say? The GGG will be a silent auction of assorted Sk8 gear who's proceeds go to helping fund the tour and reduce the costs. All the gear has been generously donated by the sponsors of the tour. In the auction will be wheels, Bearings, trucks, gloves, bushings etc and possibly some boards. I don't know exactly what it will all be just yet.

They are all sick as. I have driven down them.

Im not gonna post up the road names, cause i want these to be only skated sometimes, and dont want them to be over skatede as they are future outlaw hills.

One is HUGE! 1km long, DEAD smooth, WINEDY, and all downhill!

The other is also HUGE, About 1km long i think, HUGE SCARY CORNERS. Just not smooth.

Meeting at a coffee bar called "Little b" on Cross st, about half way down just under the Iron Bank. The place is tiny but rocks one of the finest brews in town! I will be there from 10.45 till about 11.25 and make sure there is a big stack of skate mags to read while we have a few brews! If your olds are dropping you off make sure they come in and try a siphon coffee or cold drip!

On the block today he have a sweet set of Abec7 Biltin bearings. easy to clean and require no spacers or Speed rings. I swear by these bearing, but be aware they do not work on Kryptonic or standard Hawgs wheels(both of which require 8mm spacers).
