http://greenskate.org/ is hosting an annual event promoting eco-friendly transportation and minimizing personal carbon footprints.
I have applied for us to take part!
Should be a lot of fun and it's certainly something I care about.
Starting at eastbourne village @ 4pm and heading in to town and around the waterfront. This is a 25km distance and should take about 2 hours - if that sounds a bit extreme for you feel free to join us somewhere along the way.

Rooster and myself are going
Rooster and myself are going to do a bit of a distance skate if the weather holds up - we'll start in eastbourne/the hutt and skate in to town, starting at about 4pm. Getting in some distance practice for a possible 250km charity skate in a months time.
Feel free to join us for the whole trip if your fitness is good, or meet us along the way.

Jackson, Craig & myself skated 20km from days bay into town in 1 hour 29 mins, 50 seconds!
I hope to have a bit more time and organize a bigger+better green skate next time.
