Hey Everyone!
I am currently organizing a long distance skate charity.
The cause is MotorNeurone Disease (MND).
Recently a friend had been diagnosed with MND and so some friends decided to jump in and help. A cycle ride is in progress from Amsterdam to London, about 220kms, See www.rideformnd.com for more details about MND, our mate Duncan, and what is going on around the world in support of this very worthy cause.
You can now donate online:

In wellington on the 7th June a fundraiser gig is happening with some VERY well known welly muso's to perform. My plan is to match the distance traveled from Amsterdam to london, which works out to be from Taihape to wellys.
Leaving Taihape on the 3rd June Will be Jestah Carnie, Richard Simes and myself Craig Hayes, planning to make it back to welly on Sat 7th June in time for the Gig.
We are looking for all and any support we can get for this, it will be greatly appricated. EVERY LITTLE BIT DOES HELP.
If you can help out in any way PLEASE let us know ASAP.
Mite be looking for someone who has the patience of a saint to be a support driver.
Here is our planned route:
PEACE AND RESPECT
Craig Hayes

Help for MND race.
I would love to help.
I'm a nurse so I have seen what MND can do.
I have to find out my shifts for those dates before I commit to anything.
I would be happy to be support driver and I also have a flash camera so I can take lots of photos. Plus if there are any injuries I can also do First Aid stuff and not get grossed out by blood lol!

Anyone with a dervish?
I am hoping to ride a drop thru board to make pushing easier and thought a dervish would be a pretty good choice as the flex will help to absorb the bumps.
Would anyone be able to lend me a dervish flex 2 deck to help the cause?
You can borrow any or all of my boards while I'm gone (vanguard flex4, sector9 something, gravity buttons pro, dogtown mini)
I can use my own trucks wheels and bearings and will attach a nose guard to keep it in good condition.
Alternatively I could try cutting up my S9...
you can have mine
as long as you dont break it
Cheers Tyler... If I break
Cheers Tyler... If I break it I'll buy it.
All the best!
Good stuff on organising this event. I will be looking forward to hearing reports on how it goes - take lots of photos!
Cheers,
Rob Thomson
