I am trying to work on a better way to do an image gallery.
I have something underway - if you have some longboard photos not yet posted feel free to give it a go here and post feedback.
Speedy/jestah can you post some roller coaster pics?
Works best if images are 680px wide.

Noice one Rich
Is there any way you can in crease the size limit to more than 1mb? or maybe add something that auto reduces the photo size?
all the same , i promise to flood the site with pics over the next wee or so.

Cheers Joe - I could
Cheers Joe - I could increase the size limit, but then it would take forever to download them so until I work out how to process them on the server I'll leave as is.
You can attach as many images to a post as you want.
ummyeah....
this isn't gonna work for me, all the files i have are atleast 2-3mb i've cropped afew down but to no avail.
Try picasa
That's cool, I'll have a think about the flickr thingy and image resizing.
If you do wanna resize a whole bunch easily - I find google's picasa pretty neat:

Yeah, second this. Flickr is an easy way to do things. Either that or maybe an auto resize thing on NNO??

Looks like flickr would be a pretty cool option.
I should be able to do something where you enter in your flickr username or URL
and then select what photos you want to display. Should be a fair bit of work but will see what I can do.
Ok, so what I'm mucking
Ok, so what I'm mucking around with this - nothing to show, yet.... but let me know what you think of this idea:
1. You go to your 'My account' page here on NNO
2. You enter in your flickr username in a text box
3. when you want to post a gallery, you just need to choose a photoset to publish and all photos from the set will appear in a gallery?
I've got the photoset lookup kindof working, still a few more hours before I get to that stage but I think its a simple way to do this.
Woohoo!!!!! nearly
Woohoo!!!!! nearly there.
Here is a test gallery produced with using the method above:

I've a few more tricks up my sleeve including allowing downloads of high res original quality images! Should be up and running by next week.
