What a few days but I think this is just what has been needed to show NZ that longboarding at its peek can be very spectacular if approced safely and with a lot of training!
After a lengthy conversation with Counties Manukau road policing manager Heather Wells I have to ask ALL rider ( no matter your skill level) to respect her wishes to keep off all express-way from now on. Both myself and Need Not Ollie supports her request and will not condone any conversation about riding these roads as we feel that we have far more to gain by working with the police and public to create a safer environment for all you up and coming speed racers!
I will be working together with Heather to come up with a plan to keep all you Need Not Ollie members not only safe but also squeaky clean in the eyes of our local police force!
Until that is sorted I ask all riders to ride safe, ride within your limits and remember that we are now being watched by the general public and our actions and behaviour over the next few months will decide if the general public try to shut us down or hopefully accept our sport and help us fill the grand stand at the next closed road event we are all wishing for!
I have ridden with a lot of you guys now and have been blown away every time by your stoke, crazy fast progression and love for the sport so to be honest I have little doubt that from this mess will come some good and just maybe the start of wide spread acceptance!

Sure
Sure thing
alright
sorry guys were going to have to cancel that ripstick bombay bomb draft train
but in all seriousness stay off, last thing we need is to make our relationship with the public and police any worse
