I'm getting into my sliding pretty hard out know.(being my main discipline in the great sport of longboarding). And I'm curious about the knee pads that some sliders use for the one knee on the ground slide etc... I was looking for get some decent pads for downhill as well as sliding but I can't find any "slide pads". Are they hand made things?? like home made slide gloves or can you actually get knee pads with those pucks on them for sliding?? any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The knee pad pucks, I think,
The knee pad pucks, I think, are hand made. Just go down to your local kitchen ware store and pick up some breadboard. White plastic thing about 10mm thick. Should work alright.
I'm not sure if you can buy pads with pucks on them. Hit up the sliding section on the fish. You might get more response there.
I've been doing abit more sliding lately too, I have been really enjoying it.
Hope this helps.

You have two options 1- Make
You have two options
1- Make your own: get a normal pair of knee pads and then chuck some pucks on the side. Find some good quality pads which is quite hard in NZ. 187 Pros is what alot of guys in the States use. The guy from frontsidegrind.co.nz was selling them on trademe.
2- Get special slide knee pads: 187 make a special custom slide pads that have wrap around pucks. You have to email the guy to get order them. Tracker (Brazil only) makes a set as well. These are the ones Sergio Yuppie uses but you can only order them from some Brazil site.
Here is a link about the 187s
