A comp where we all have to finish the board MAT BLACK or White so it is about how it rides, is made or something OTHER than who can gloss carbon the best?

or i like the idea of a team build off... so a few ppl work together on a project ?

Im going to build but dont mind taking some sort of handy cap (ie no prepreg or nomex )

This will be a good excuse to get off my lazy ass and finally build my foamie ive been planning. ive got all the materials just need to get my act together.

How are we guna do this? ive watched each and every silverfish contest.
what nz lacks in population we make up in innovation.

we do however have a rather diverse choice of build materials here tho... bombardiers ply boards... the sweet v lam solid wood of sugar boards.. and jester and my own foamcore construction.

It may be hard to define the comp into categories like vlam or foamcore construction etc given this diversity.

maybe a voting on a points system or something.
where we mark 1 to 10 for each of the things like build quality. attention to detail. rideability. practalility. sales pitch or whatever.

my 2 cents.. or 10 cents...

HAHA sam would win with his gloss finishes.. his shit is flawless...

and yeah damn your prepreg and autoclaves.... not that im jealous or anything...

perhaps we get you to post materials cost and have an economy scale also?

when do we think this building comp will start up? im keen as beans and know a few more who will be.

What about some sort of kiwi theme? e.g only nz made materials or something. Just to keep it different from the 'fish' contests?
