Spot Test Feedback on Original Style Trucks

Just thought this was interesting to hear from other riders just to prove its not just me that likes the Surfy feel from Spring torsion trucks. :) I guess that's why I like these boards as I am a surfer at heart who skates when he isn't in the water.

I love how easy they are to 180 and they're probably great for around town skating.

No Helmets is BAD
Agree on the no helmets thing. And I can confirm that flat land and town skating is great due to the ability to turn so quick. I used to communte on my Sector 9 but in CBD it just didn't cut it. I ended up walking most of the time but the Original allows you weave in and out. However as I have said before I wouldn't consider doing a downhill speed run with one of these boards. Perhaps with the Stiffer white springs but no way with the loose black springs.

Too true. NNO Does not look kindly on videos were riders aren't wearing helmets unless its flat land dancing. Unfortunately Original and S9 are the worst for producing videos with helmetless riders. This sort of thing sets a poor example and gives the wrong impression to new and younger riders. I don't mean to rain on the parade or bag the skating in Original's videos, but NNO strongly supports the use of helmets. I'll leave this video up for a couple days, But any future videos of riders without helmets will removed. I would suggest finding some vids were the team wears buckets.

Forgot about the no helmet rule
Sorry about the no helments in this video. Tribal is right tho, the only Original Vids with Helmets are when they are in a bowl or doing tricks. They are very bad at protection in anyway shape for form unfortunately.
I can take the vid down now if you think it really is giving the wrong impression to any newbies to the site.

I've tried and enjoyed them,
I've tried and enjoyed them, especially enjoyable set to incredibly loose with the springs not engaging until you're already leaning quite a bit :) they don't have much return like a bennett or carver truck but that can be a nice fun change. nice to try now and then
Revenge torsion trucks
I have got a barfoot with Revenge torsion trucks. I haven't ridden originals.
The revenge trucks are *really* turny, but still relatively stable at speed (40). I wouldn't go bombing any fast hills (45+), but they're great for pedestrian slalom on the waterfront and in the bowl.
