We could learn a lot from these guys from a marketing point of view. As I said before its very similar to the Apple way of doing things. All the parts are proprietary so you have to get all your spares from Original, you can watch the Videos on Youtube, you can wear the T-shirt. The send you DVDs in the post, you can chat to them on Facebook.
In talking to these guys they generate a lot of business from their YouTube videos. So do we have a handy Cameraman/skater out there.
I think some Need Not Ollie t-shirts would be a good place to start. Get them on the Website and get them educated, get them to a Skate function etc etc. NNO should run a Set in Stone regular meet maybe once every two weeks in Auckland and in Wellington (other centres if we can find people willing to commit) The hit and miss way things are done now doesn't really work as well as it could. If I knew that every second tuesday of the month was skate meet night I could plan around it.
I see lots of longboarders on the streets but haven't got a clue who they are or if they come onto this site. We need more face time with each other so we can actually function as a team. We can have a skate and also discuss this weeks assignments in a Fight Club kind of way ha ha! Just without the fighting or the random acts of criminal damage!

but as a designated skate night i totally agree but it should be every other month instead of every month to make it seem special. if they want to come more than once every other month so be it!

regualr skate meet
Dont know why this has not been set up earlier? A regular day skate where longboarders and longboarding can get maximum positive public exposure is a great step forward. What ever happened to the sunday skate sesh that happened every sunday along the waterfront? (during daylight even).
Start it now, every 2nd sunday meet by the __________ at ____am/pm. as word gets about there is a regular longboard cruise, it will grow.
